LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - John Venters, 28, will get some charges dismissed after accepting a plea agreement Monday in Tippecanoe County Superior Court One.
In the plea agreement Venters pleaded guilty to reckless homicide in the Dec. 30, 2011, crash that killed his passenger. Venters was under the influence of prescription medication at the time.
Venters will get the charge of operating while intoxicated resulting in death dropped. Venters' sentencing is set for Jan. 4. He faces six to 20 years in prison.
