TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Tippecanoe County man is dead after an early morning fire on Thursday.
Tippecanoe County deputies said they responded to the call at 8004 S. County Road 350 East, just after 5:30 Thursday morning. Deputies said they arrived to find a mobile home engulfed in flames.
According to deputies, Shannon Servies was inside the home at the time and died in the fire. He was found inside a bedroom on the east side of the home. Fire units had to remove a portion of the exterior wall to get to his body.
The state fire marshal's office along with the county fire investigation task force are investigating the cause.
Officials believe a problem with the electric stove may be to blame.
