CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Carroll County man has died nearly two weeks after he was involved in a car crash.

The Carroll County Sheriff's Office said 21-year-old Samuel Hensley of Bringhurst died from injuries sustained when the car he was riding in hit a tree.  The wreck happened on April 12, shortly after 3:00 p.m.

Investigators said 21-year-old Zachary Pickett of Flora blacked out while driving east on County Road 200 North, just west of County Road 450 West.  Deputies said Pickett's SUV traveled more than 425 feet through a field and yard before hitting the tree.

Pickett was taken to a Lafayette hospital and was later released.  Deputies said they are still waiting on toxicology results for Pickett.

At this time, no one has been arrested and no charges have been filed.
