LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police said residents can now get 'clicked' into their neighborhoods through a free social networking website.
It's called Nextdoor. On Nextdoor, neighbors can create private websites for their neighborhoods where they can ask questions, get to know one another and exchange local advice and recommendations.
Lieutenant Patrick Flannelly with the Lafayette Police Department said this is a great opportunity for residents to build happier, safer places to call home.
"When we can connect this way, we can build relationships in an online manner. The studies and the research is shown that they'll connect more in a face-to-face manner as well so they can share that information," Lieutenant Flannelly said.
