Investigation into stabbing continues

Two people stabbed in West Lafayette

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Police continue to investigate a weekend stabbing in West Lafayette.

Police said the stabbing took place around 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning, on the 300 block of Stadium Avenue. 

Police officers found two victims with stab wounds.  West Lafayette Police Sergeant John Watson said one victim was stabbed in the arm and the other was stabbed in the back.

Watson said he expects both to make a full recovery.  Police arrested 19-year-old Quinten Stamper of Warsaw for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. 18-year-old Matthew Longcor of Millford was also arrested for recklessness with a deadly weapon and theft. 

The names of the victims are not being released at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing.
