Bids in for fence work around old track

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Bids to move the fence around the West Lafayette Junior Senior High School track were opened by the Board of Works. Blue's Fence is the apparent low bidder at $39,650. The fence around the track is being moved inward to encompass the football field and bleachers. Another fence will be built around the track with gates for the public to use.The City of West Lafayette is partnering with the West Lafayette Community School Corporation on the project. Plans are in the works to resurface the track and connect it with the urban trail system throughout the city.
