Leaf pickup scheduled for Laf. & W. Laf

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The cities of Lafayette and West Lafayette have released their leaf pickup schedules for the fall.

Lafayette's pickups will cover the same routes as their trash pickups. They have announced the following pickup dates:

Friday's Route: Week of Oct. 26
Thursday's Route: Week of Nov. 2
Wednesday's Route: Week of Nov. 9
Tuesday's Route: Week of Nov. 16
Monday's Route: Week of Nov. 23

The city Lafayette may plan more pickups after these dates, but these are the ones that are currently scheduled. They have requested that residents leave their leaves loose and raked along the curb on the Monday of their collection weeks. They stress that leaves should be free of debris and brush. Leaves can only be bagged in biodegradeable paper bags.

The city of West Lafayette has posted their leaf pickup schedule online. The pickups are scheduled based on your recycling area.

The city of West Lafayette has requested that all leaves be raked a foot away from the curb, and that no sticks or other debris is placed in with the leaves. They stress that residents should have their leaves ready for pickup on the first day pickup is scheduled for their area.
