The Indiana Department of Transportation has answered some questions concerning the upcoming US 231 construction project in Tippecanoe County.
More than 100 people attended the public meeting at Bethel Christian Life Center.
Designers, project managers, and real estate agents answered questions about the US 231 expansion.
INDOT Spokeswoman Debbie Calder said with the projecting moving forward it is important to keep the community informed.
"They've heard a lot about this project. It's finally moving forward. We just wanted to give people that live in this area a chance to come out and ask questions, see the map of the project, see how it's going to affect them if it is," said Calder.
Calder says there are few steps that need to be taken, like purchasing property from Purdue University, before contracts can be put up for bidding.
She said INDOT is expecting to open bidding by October 2010.
