WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - West Lafayette Police have made an arrest that they believe will have a significant impact on the presence of dangerous illegal drugs in the area.
At around 6:00 a.m. Friday morning, officers arrested 21-year-old Purdue student Christopher Song. Officers recovered 359 ecstasy pills during the arrest, which they said have a street value of nearly $6000.
The arrest took place at 112 East Oak Street in West Lafayette.
Song was the focus of a two-month investigation by the West Lafayette Narcotics Unit. Police said they believe Song was a large source for individuals in the area wishing to acquire ecstasy.
Song was booked into the Tippecanoe County jail on felony charges of dealing in a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and maintaining a common nuisance. He was also given a misdemeanor charge for possession of marijuana.
