Police said the driver of the vehicle, 21-year-old Steven Dulin of Logansport, was traveling northbound on East Shafer Drive when he drove off the east side of the roadway. Police said that Dulin lost control as he tried to return to the roadway and went back into the east side of a ditch embankment next to the road.

Both girls were transported from the scene by ambulance. Andrews was transported to White County Memorial Hospital in Monticello and treated for pelvis and abdominal pain. She has been released.
Pickett was suffered head trauma. She was taken to White County Memorial Hospital then flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She is listed in critical condition.
Police said none of the occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
