FOUNTAIN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Officials confirmed the body found inside a Fountain County mobile home which burned Thursday morning belong to a middle-aged female.

Chief Deputy Coroner Wally Hooker said in a news release the fire at 4062 Blue Island Road near Kingman in southwest Fountain County caused the woman to die of carbon monoxide poisoning due to smoke inhalation.

Hooker said a woman remains unaccounted for from that residence, but a positive ID has not yet been made.

Hooker said dental records were not sufficient to make an identification, and DNA tests are required to prove the woman's identity.

The DNA test results are expected within 10 to 14 days.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
