School chosen to unveil Hubble image

Jeff planetarium will open event to public

Jefferson High School's planetarium will unveil a new image from the Hubble Space Telescope Institute Tuesday, November 10.

The school's planetarium has been chosen as one of about 150 sites to officially unveil the image.

The image to be presented is actually a combined effort of three space telescopes:  the Hubble Space Telescope, The Spitzer Space Telescope, and The Chandra X-ray Observatory. 

The unveiling event will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.  The event is open to the public.
