LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - An event called Rescues and Runways took place at the Dog House in Lafayette on Sunday.
It benefited the homeless animals at the Almost Home Humane Society. Animals in need of a forever home strutted their stuff on the runway with models from the clothing store maurices [sic]. The event showcased the animals and the clothing store's new fall styles.
Almost Home Humane Society Executive Director Michelle Warren said there are plenty of animals in need of love. She said they have 22 dogs available for adoption as well as some animals currently in foster care.
Employee Monica VanDorn said they were happy to work with Almost Home Humane Society.
"Tthis is an event that we think is very close to our hearts, because we do realize that there are several animals out there that do need good homes," said VanDorn
Organizers says they hope to make the fashion show an annual event.
