LAFAYETTE, Ind (WLFI) - A Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Deputy will have to wait until October to find out whether or not he is going to trial.
Travis Dowell's attorney, Matt Sandy, and the special prosecutor on the case Rob Ives met before Judge Les Meade in Superior Court 5 on Friday, September 25.
Ives told News Channel 18, by the time both sides meet again in October, they will either have agreed on a disposition or the case will go to trial.
Travis Dowell was charged with battery, strangulation and
criminal mischief after an alleged altercation between Dowell and
his daughter at his home in Clarks Hill back in February.
