LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Salvation Army is still in need of a few items to make this year's holiday possible for less fortunate children in the Greater Lafayette area.

Major Jim Irvine said toy distribution started Thursday for those who signed up and will continue Friday morning until about noon.

Major Irvine said while they have plenty of toys to go around they're still looking for a few special items to add to their Angel Tree Toy Shop.

"If people are still contemplating what they'd like to buy to help others in need, we need infant clothing, baby clothing of all sorts whether its sleepers, or onesies or winter coats," Major Jim Irvine said. "Anything for infants would be very much appreciated."

Major Irvine said it's also still not too late to ring bells for their Red Kettle drive.

They're still looking for volunteers for this Saturday.

For more information, call Major Irvine at (765) 742-0006.
