LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Tapawingo Park was full of shoppers searching for a piece of art to take home Sunday.

The 7th annual Art on the Wabash featured artists from 15 counties from across central Indiana.

Hand-selected artists showcased a wide variety of items from pottery, oils, wood working and even jewelry.

Gretel Kulupka, a board member for the event, said the art show is a chance for local up and coming artists to display their work.

"The artist that we select are from a relatively narrow region, they're all local," said Kulupka. "We try to make this an opportunity for artists who are wanting to try an art show out, who maybe haven't done it before."

Each of the artists paid $15 to participate. The yearly event is free to the public, and this year, a total of 34 artists participated.
