WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - As the weather gets colder a local business gets ready to pass out gently used donated coats.
Employees at Lifespan Health Services and Noble Mobile in West Lafayette have spent the last two weeks collecting coats at the office and area businesses.
On Wednesday and Thursday the coats will be passed out. Organizers say they've collected more than 150 coats.
This is the first year of the coat drive and giveaway. Organizers hope to continue it.
"We just felt like we wanted to do more to reach out to the community and assist folks that might be a little down on things right now," CEO of Lifespan Health Services and Noble Mobile Kenneth Noble said.
You can pick the coats up Wednesday or Thursday at the Lifespan Health Services office at 1231 Cumberland Avenue Suite F in West Lafayette. The handout will be from 9:30 a.m. until 4:30 in the afternoon.
