LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Pictures sent in by a NewsChannel 18 viewer show the damage from a large grass fire.

It happened Wednesday evening on Bridgewater Circle near 18th Street and Veterans Memorial Parkway.

Firefighters say when they arrived on scene, the fire was quickly spreading. They were able to contain it and put it out within a half an hour.

There was no damage to any surrounding structures.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
