LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Indiana State Representative Sheila Klinker (D) announced Tuesday that she would be running for another term.

"I've spoken to a lot of my friends and they have encouraged me to run again," said Klinker. "I think the last two sessions have been a challenge, but we've gotten through them."

Klinker said she looks forward to focusing on education and higher education issues as well as the arts and other positive issues for the state.

Klinker said that she doesn't think this election will be any more difficult than those in the past.

"Every election is difficult in this area," said Klinker. "I work very hard. My constituents and friends know that I will work on their behalf night and day."

Klinker is excited for what the future might bring.

"This time will be a new challenge, but one that I look forward too," said Klinker.
