WASHINGTON (WLFI) - Indiana's newest senator took his oath of office Thursday.
Newly elected Democratic senator Joe Donnelly was among those sworn in by Vice President Joe Biden in Senate chambers.
Donnelly defeated Tea Party candidate Richard Mourdock in a hot race during November's general election.
Donnelly took the seat formerly held by six-term senator Richard Lugar, who Mourdock beat in the primary.
