IU student arrested in Egypt, to be set free

CAIRO (WLFI) - CBS News is reporting the three American college students arrested in Egypt earlier this week, will be set free. A lawyer confirmed to CBS News the Egyptian prosecutor declined to file any charges.

The students, including Indiana University junior and Bloomington native Luke Gates, were arrested during protests Monday night. Gates is accused of throwing fire bombs at officers during the demonstrations protesting military rule in the country.

The exact time and location of the three students' release is unclear at this time. The lawyer said they were all to undergo a medical evaluation first.
