A Lafayette man is sentenced to nearly two decades in prison …

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an inmate at the jail.
Sheriff Tracy Brown Melanie Rose Clouser-Serie, 34, died early Tuesday morning. She was taken to Franciscan St. Elizabeth East Hospital Monday night.
Sheriff Brown said the results of a preliminary autopsy conducted Thursday indicate Clouser-Serie died of a pulmonary embolism, but final toxicology reports are pending and will be available in 4 to 6 weeks.
Brown said Clouser-Serie was booked into the jail on Oct. 29 on a charge of theft.
