CLARKS HILL, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County Health Department officials met Tuesday to discuss further action into an investigation at a Clarks Hill border collie dog breeding business.
Last month, inspectors from the Tippecanoe County Health Department inspected "Sanders Border Collies" in Clarks Hill.
The department found the business was unsanitary and presented several health risks to people who enter the barn.
News 18 went inside the barn in a previous story , taking a look at the bad conditions there.
Tuesday, Tippecanoe County Health Department officials and their attorney met to discuss further actions.
Health Department Administrator Ron Cripe said more needs to be done at the facility than just an initial "cleanup."
"We can order him to clean it up, but the likelihood (is small) of it staying in that condition at the minimal without the adequate waste disposal system that all other kennels in Tippecanoe County are ordered to install prior to opening their operation," Tippecanoe County Health Department Administrator Ron Cripe said.
Cripe added they'll be working with the owner to try and take the necessary steps to make sure the facility is no longer a health hazard to the public.
