BOONE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Another I-65 exit ramp closure as state crews better the roadways.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says the southbound exit ramp to State Road 32 (SR 32) will close starting at midnight Monday, Sept. 10.

Crews will be resurfacing the ramp, which should be back open on Saturday, Sept. 15.

The closure is all part of the $41,455,610 Major Moves design build contract.

The project on I-65 will add an additional lane in each direction and reconstruct the existing lanes of I-65 from six tenths of a mile north of SR 32, to one half mile south of Boone County Road 100 East.

This project also includes rebuilding the S.R. 39 Bridge over I-65 and the I-65 Bridge over Prairie Creek and rehabilitating the bridge over Lafayette Avenue.

The entire project is scheduled to be completed in July of 2013.
