INDIANAPOLIS (WLFI) - Indiana won't be making a decision on an Essential Health Benefits plan anytime soon.

In a letter to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Indiana Insurance Commissioner Stephen Robertson says the state hasn't received enough information regarding the rules of the plan.

The original deadline for plan selection was set by the federal government for Oct. 1.

Selection of the plan, which came about as part of the Affordable Care Act, will now be delayed until after a new governor is selected.

Governor Mitch Daniels had previously requested input from all three of the gubernatorial candidates, but there was not a consensus among the candidates.
