Stars and Stripes Celebration & fireworks
July 4, 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.
Riehle Plaza
Music throughout the evening by Jazz Band and Citizen's Band. Cannons and fireworks bring the day to a rousing close. Fireworks at dusk (around 10:00 p.m.).

Old-Fashioned Children’s Box Parade
July 3, 10:30 a.m.
Corner of State and South 9th Streets
Children of all ages are welcome to decorate a box to wear, push or pull (no wheels, please, except strollers or wheelchairs) and parade down South Ninth Street from State and Hitt to South Streets. This event is being held by the Lafayette’s Historic Ninth Street Hill Neighborhood Association.
Community Independence Day Celebration
July 3, 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., concluded with fireworks
First Assembly of God (on the corner of Old 231 and Beck Lane)
Live music, skydivers, bounce houses for kids, food vendors and fireworks! Admission is free. Bounce houses and food vendors cost. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!

Dayton
A fireworks display will be at dayton, Saturday July 3 from 6:00 p.m. to dusk. The entire community is invited to "Celebrate Your Freedom" Saturday at Dayton United Methodist Church, located at 7201 Wesleyan Drive in Dayton. In addition, there will be a Car contest. Awards will be given for the most patriotic decorated car and for the best historical scene in the a back-hatch or trunk. If you have any questions, please call the church at 765-296-3155.

17th Annual Delphi Independence Day Parade
July 3, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Globe-Valve Parking Lot
Registration for participants begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends by 9:00 a.m. if they wish to be judged, and by 9:30 a.m. if they do not. Participants are encouraged to follow a patriotic theme in decorating.
Canal Days Festival
