Police found no indication of foul play

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Remains found along I-65 over the weekend have been confirmed to be that of missing woman Nicole Howard, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner's office.

The Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office completed an examination of the dental remains found on I-65 during the Saturday morning search. The Coroner’s office determined that the dental remains were that of reported missing 46-year-old Lafayette resident, Nicole M. Howard.

 The Lafayette Police Department found no indication of foul play during the investigation. Family members were notified by the police department.

A group searching for a missing woman, Nicole Howard, found bones and flesh along I-65, a discovery which shut down the northbound lanes for several hours Saturday afternoon.

Lafayette police and detectives had the remains sent to the Tippecanoe County Coroner's office. A pathologist conducted the autopsy Monday evening.
