WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - It's nowhere near as severe as his past injuries, but former Boilermaker star Robbie Hummel is undergoing surgery again.
Hummel is returning to the United States from Spain, where he'll play professionally this season, to undergo surgery to fix the meniscus in his twice-repaired right knee, sources close to Hummel have said.
The estimated recovery time is as quick as a month. Hummel intends to play this season for his Obradoiro team in Santiago, Spain, with hopes of earning a roster spot with the Minnesota Timberwolves next year.
The T-Wolves drafted Hummel in the second round in June.
