Honor veterans with weekend events

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - In the wake of Election Day comes Veterans Day, and there are a few activities going on this weekend in honor of those who have served our country.

Here is a list of activities happening for Veterans Day.

Friday

9 a.m. – Veterans Day Program at Klondike Middle School
11 a.m. – Program at Purdue Memorial Union
1:30 p.m. – Program at Ivy Tech
6 p.m. – Elks Dinner for Korean War veterans

Saturday

8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Stand Down event at Tippecanoe County Fairgrounds
5 to 8 p.m. – Fish Fry at the Lafayette National Guard Armory

Sunday

10:45 a.m. – Veterans Day Program at the Tippecanoe County Veterans Council
1:30 p.m. – Program at Indiana Veterans Home (MacArthur Auditorium). The guest speaker is Indiana State Representative and Army veteran Douglas Gutwein.
4 p.m. – Program at Cumberland Pointe Health Campus
