Home of PU half marathon route decided

FLORA, Ind. (WLFI) - Runners now know the course for the Home of Purdue (PU) Half Marathon.

The organizer, Reinke Sports, announced the route through Flora. The race will begin and end in Flora Park on October 24, 2010.

It will take runners down Meridian Line Road, North Division Street and along South 200 East.  Click here to see a map of the race route.

The half marathon moved to Carroll County after Lafayette, West Lafayette and Purdue pulled their support because of problems with the organizer.

The complete race route is as follows:

Start at the intersection of Main St. and N 50 East

Head North to E 100 N

Turn right on to E 100 N

Run down N 100 E

Turn left on E 200 N

Turn left on N Meridian Line Rd.

Turn left on E 100 N

Turn right on to N 25 E (N Division St.)

Turn right on to W Maple St.

Turn left on to N Center St.

Turn right onto S Center St.

Head south on S Center St. (S Bringhurst)

Turn left on to E 150 S

Head east until S 200 E

Turn left on to S 200 E

Turn left on to E 50 S

Turn right on to S Division St.

Turn right on to E Loop St.

Turn left on to Easy St.

Turn left on to E Catherine St.

Turn right on to S Division St.

Turn right on to E Elizabeth St.

Turn left on to S 50 E
