Girl Scouts host cookie drive-thru

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Girl Scout cookies are back and some Lafayette Girl Scouts are selling boxes of cookies in a unique way.

The Girl Scouts are selling cookies at Walgreens on State Road 26 and Creasy Lane, and with this set up, shoppers don't even have to get out of their car to get a box.

That's because they're hosting a Girl Scout cookie drive-thru.

Parents said the cookie drive-thru has been getting a lot of business so far this year.

"It's been going pretty good," said Girl Scout parent Scott Jean. "We've had a steady flow of people. This is unique because people can just pull up to the spot and give us their order. We have three or four shifts a day for an hour at a time. So, they're out here for a while and the kids really enjoy it."

The Girl Scouts will be selling cookies at the corner of Creasy Lane and State Road 26 every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. until the end of February.
