CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. (WLFI) - Area ghost hunters are investigating the old Culver Union Hospital in Crawfordsville Wednesday overnight, a spot reportedly haunted by paranormal activity.
The structure was built in 1902 by the Sisters of St. Francis and closed in 1981. Workers who are removing some of the metal from the building to sell for scrap said they have seen strange shadows. One felt something tugging at his shorts in the basement near the morgue.
"So far, we've had a little bit of noises and a possible scratch on somebody's back," said James Holsclaw, lead investigator with the Wabash Paranormal Research Society. "I'm kind of skeptical about it, what could happen, but I'm excited to get in here and crack down and see what we can find."
Shortly after the interview was shot, NewsChannel 18 cameras did find some interesting activity, including flashlights turning on and off.
