Some local Junior High students got a taste of what it's like …

COVINGTON, Ind. (WLFI) - Arrangements have been set for Marine Lance Corporal Joshua E. Witsman of Covington. LCpl Witsman was currently on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan when he was killed last week.
A flag route procession is planned for Thursday as LCpl Witsman's body returns to his hometown. Anyone who would like to volunteer to lay flags can come to the Benson United Methodist Church on Wednesday, June 6 at 5:00 p.m.
Witsman's body is scheduled to arrive at the Vermillion County airport in Danville, Illinois on Thursday around 6:00 p.m. From the airport, a procession will lead his body through downtown Danville and onto U.S. 136 to the Sunset Funeral Home in Covington.
The public is invited to line the route and pay their respects. Witsman's body is tentatively expected to arrive in Covington around 7:30 - 8:00 p.m.
A public visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 8 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Covington High School in the gymnasium. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Covington High School gymnasium.
The family of Joshua Eli Witsman has requested that donations in his memory be made to the "Joshua Eli Witsman Scholarship Fund" at the Covington Community Foundation.
