Flowers for animals in need

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Sometimes even puppies need flowers on Valentine's Day.

Cattails to Roses by Eve is teaming up with the Almost Home Humane Society to help animals in need of adoption.

The campaign is called 'Puppy Love,' and includes all animals at the Almost Home Humane Society.

For every order of flowers, Cattails to Roses will donate two dollars to the Almost Home Humane Society to help with their operating costs.

Store owner Paula Davis said she's doing it because her dogs help her through rough times.

"After a tough day,  I know my days can be long and tough, it's good to have some unconditional love.  They really don't care what you did or didn't do throughout the day. They just want to love on you and lick on you.  Sometimes I fall asleep on the sofa, and I got three dogs on me (laughs).  But, it's a good feeling,"  said Davis.

The campaign rolls on through February 29.
