Lafayette
Officials say trick-or-treat hours always fall on the day of Halloween, Oct. 31, with no set-in-stone times. The police department suggests you do not go trick-or-treating after the sun sets or after 9 p.m. (whichever comes first).
Downtown merchants will host trick-or-treat hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 26.
West Lafayette
WLPD Captain Gary Sparger says the city has no set hours, but, “We’d prefer that you stop trick-or-treating after 9 p.m. because that’s the courteous thing to do,” Sparger said. “Young people should go with an escort, (like) parents or an older sibling. Wear reflective clothing and bring a flashlight. We hope the older ones will help the younger kids cross the street.”
Attica
City hall representatives say Oct. 31 will be full of activities for Attica. Starting at 5 p.m. there will be a Halloween parade, and then from 5:30 to 6:30 you can trick-or-treat with downtown merchants. Residential trick-or-treat hours are from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
