LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The last Farmers Market of the season took place Saturday in downtown Lafayette.

Vendors said this season was a tough one due to this summer's drought. Many said they were still able to grow a variety of produce, just not the quantity they're used to.

Although the weather has been milder the last couple of months, vendors said by that point, the damage had already been done.

"That was our typical conversation all summer long," said vendor Neil Moseley. "We're wondering when it was going to rain, and the guys who got lucky enough to get into that little pocket of rain, they bragged about it while the rest of us were begging for it."

There will be three mini farmers markets downtown during the holiday season on Nov. 10 and 17 and on Dec. 1. The markets on Nov. 10 and 17 will run from 8 in the morning until noon. The market on December 1 will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
