LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The East Tipp Middle School dance team is celebrating some big accomplishments.

After attending a camp put on by the Universal Dance Association, the team was awarded the chance to perform at a Capital One pre-game show in Florida.

The girls also won best home routine, and received the superior trophy, given to the team with the most ribbons and awards at camp.

The team's coach, Amanda Schwuchow, said the team is mainly all new girls. She said she is proud of the girls' dedication.

"I think the team this year is extremely dedicated," Schwuchow said. "Since there was a lot of new girls coming in I was a little unsure what the year would be like. But seeing their dedication at camp and after camp, and seeing how hard they want to work, it makes me really happy for the girls."

The team is looking for sponsors to help them raise money for Florida. For more information, visit the team's website .
