LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Election Day is, of course, Tuesday Nov. 6 but casting your ballot early continues to be popular in Tippecanoe County.
Early voting ends at noon on Monday, Nov. 5. Hours for early voting are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the County Board of Elections Office in Tippecanoe County.
For many other counties, early voting ends at the county clerk's office or county courthouse. As of Monday morning, more than 22,000 people had chosen to cast their ballot ahead of Election Day in Tippecanoe County. The Tippecanoe County Clerk's Office reported more than 500 people voted Saturday at each of the Pay Less grocery store sites.
During in the 2008 General Election, 36,920 people voted early.
Remember you will need a government-issued photo ID in order to vote. If you need one, all branches of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles will be open for extended hours: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday and from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
