TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The dry weather may be bad for farmers but it's turning into a big pro for road crews.

West Lafayette City Engineer Dave Buck said projects like the Yeager round-a-bout on the city's north side is right on schedule and on budget.

The sunny weather has paved the way for crews to work quickly and steadily through out the week.

Buck asks drivers to be patient while the city finishes up construction on this short, but heavily traveled street.

"It connects so much of town from 52 to Northwestern Avenue. Where the east-west stuff meets the north-south stuff, as far as traffic goes. We understand that and we ask drivers to be patient while get this taken care of this summer. So we won't have to deal with it during the school year,” said Buck.

The Yeager Road project is scheduled to be completed in early August just in time for football season.
