LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Although some drivers are familiar with the rules of roundabouts, many local drivers have never had to drive through one. Indiana’s Department of Transportation is making the transition for those drivers a little easier.

The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is holding a Roundabout School to provide State Road 25 travelers with experience in navigating the soon-to-be-opened roundabout being constructed near I-65.

A small-scale version of the roundabout will be available for drivers to navigate with golf carts.

The entire workshop with provide the necessary knowledge of roundabout rules, and drivers should be able to navigate them successfully after completing the Roundabout School.

If you’d like to learn more about roundabouts, head to East Tipp Middle school on Saturday, Sept. 22. The school is from noon to 4 p.m. that day, and parking will be available off of County Road 300 North.

You can find the East Tipp Middle School address in the map attached to this story.
