LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Bluefin Bistro has been downtown for nearly five years.
New general manager Rhett Buwalda said it's time for change. Some of those changes include remodeling, a new name and a new menu. He said he's not sure what the name will be quite yet.
Buwalda said once all the changes are made the new restaurant will be similar to the chain P. F. Chang's China Bistro.
"The biggest thing is is that we found that people in Lafayette and Greater Lafayette want to go somewhere, you know, they want to go somewhere more than just once a year kind of thing," Buwalda said. "We kind of found ourselves as kind of a special occasion and we want to be accessible to everyone all the time."
Earlier this year News 18 reported Bluefin Bistro had multiple health code violations, but Buwalda said it's under new management and starting fresh.
The new restaurant is expected to open Jan. 15. Until then the patio will be open.
