TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Traffic was backed up on Interstate 65 Wednesday evening, and not because of an accident or construction.
Two dogs were running in the median and southbound lanes about a mile south of the Dayton exit. State Police troopers noticed the dogs and followed them with their emergency lights flashing.
After about three quarters of a mile, the dogs ran off the interstate and down an embankment. Tippecanoe Animal Control arrived soon after, but were unable to locate the dogs.
