LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County Democrats gathered Wednesday night for the annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner.

But it wasn't just elected officials from Tippecanoe County on the guest list.

Democratic nominee for governor, John Gregg made an appearance at the Lafayette theater where the dinner was held.

Ann Delaney, who was serving as a surrogate for Joe Donnelly, was also on the guest list.

Democrats said Wednesday night's dinner was a way to come together and lay out a plan on where they need to go during this next election.

"People are active but you have people that have been active for years and we have a lot of people that have been in the party for a long time that like to come to these things and see everyone so it's very important," Heather Maddox, Chair of Tippecanoe County Democrats said.
