DELPHI, Ind. (WLFI) - The hot and dry conditions are being blamed for canceling an area fireworks show.
The fireworks at Delphi Community High School sponsored by the Delphi Chamber of Commerce have been canceled.
Chamber President Dale Seward said the display isn't worth the safety risk.
Seward said the chamber has already paid for the show in full, but the pyrotechnics company has agreed to use the money for next year's show instead.
Seward said the company will be able to preserve and store the fireworks that have already been bought to use in 2013.
