Purdue football sees decline in sales

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - According to Purdue Associate Athletic's Director Tom Schott, only about 40,000 tickets have been sold for this weekend's game against Eastern Michigan.

Schott said ticket sales are down from last year, but said they did see a slight increase in sales after the Purdue, Notre Dame game last week.

He said the athletic department is not concerned about the decline in sales.

"I think if the team continues to play well, which we expect that they'll do, and as the fans believe they will, ticket sales will pick up and people will come out," said Schott. "We still have six home games left."

One of those six home games will take place this Saturday at noon at Ross Ade Stadium.

Schott said to date, the two home games with the most ticket sales are Wisconsin and Michigan.
