LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The deadline to register to vote or to update your registration status is Tuesday, October 9th for the November 2012 General Election.

Monday, Oct. 8 is Columbus Day. County offices are closed along with BMV branches where you can register in person. To avoid waiting until the last minute Tuesday, you can register online. You'll find information on how to do so along with more helpful election information via the Indiana Secretary of State Office website and IndianaVoters.in.gov .
