WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Purdue University faculty are getting a chance to ask questions of their incoming president.
Governor Mitch Daniels is hosting forums for faculty and staff.
He met with four colleges including about 200 employees of the Liberal Arts and Technology colleges Tuesday afternoon.
After brief remarks he took questions from the audience for more than an hour.
He said, as president, the money he will spend will be guided by faculty and will focus on two things.
"Invest where we can to enhance the quality, the numbers, the support of research and teaching at Purdue," he said. "The second use of any funds we can obtain from any source, inside or outside, would be to preserve and enhance the affordability."
He spoke with the Agriculture and Education colleges Tuesday morning.
Daniels will meet with four colleges Wednesday and two more in October.
