OXFORD, Ind. (WLFI) - A Benton County home raided in early November for a meth lab was the scene of a fire Friday night.

Firefighters were dispatched to the home at 403 McConnell Street in Oxford just before 10 p.m. Oxford Fire Chief Jason Dalton said it took crews about 30 minutes to extinguish the fire.

Dalton said no one was inside the home when it started. He said the home had been in quarantine since an active meth lab was found inside on Nov. 9.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire. Dalton said the state fire marshal has been called in to help with the investigation.
