LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette police said two people have gone to hospitals with injuries suffered from a crash around 1:30 p.m. at State Road 38 East and County Road 475 East.
Police said 44-year-old Jeffery Gossett of Lafayette ran a red light on State Road 38 in his Jeep and was t-boned by an SUV driven by 39-year-old Christina McCarthy of Rossville.
A witness at the scene said Gossett's Jeep then rolled at least twice before coming to a rest upside-down, against the witness's semi.
The witness said the driver and a passenger were both extricated from the Jeep by fire crews.
Gossett was taken to Saint Elizabeth East, treated, and released. His passenger, 36-year-old Rob Clements of Lafayette, was taken to Clarian Arnett and is listed in good condition.
McCarthy was not injured.
Westbound traffic on State Road 38 was down to one lane as crews worked to remove the vehicles, but police said the road has now been cleared.
Police said Gossett will be cited for running a red light.
