WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - There will be a controlled burn near the Lilly Nature Center at Celery Bog Nature Center on Friday.

Crews with the West Lafayette Fire Department will be coming out to oversee the burn, which was scheduled to get underway at 9 a.m.

Dan Dunten, stewardship manager for West Lafayette Parks and Recreation, said the burn will cover approximately 6.8 acres.

The public should not be concerned if they see smoke coming from the nature area.
